    Perfectly Preserved Hand Sanitizer

I wanted to share another one of my fun little projects I made to sell at my November vendor event.  If these are a hit, I plan on making some Christmas ones for a craft show I am participating in on December 1st.  Let me know what you think!!

I found these cute little hand sanitizers at Bath & Body, and was thrilled that they coordinated so well with our Orchard Harvest DSP.  And what better way to display the "gift" then in a jar!!  The Cannery Set Framelit Dies were not a favorite of mine when the Holiday Catalog came out, but after seeing SO many projects that they were used for, I just had to have them, and am so glad I did.

Here are the dimensions of the box itself, which I created first.  Once you have it cut, scored, etc. it is very simply constructed by using a piece of Sticky Strip on the bottom middle section and on one end.  I then put the "jar" on the front and back.  I used the jar topper on the front, but left it off of the back.

I used the 1 1/4" circle punch on the front, simply stapled a coordinating ribbon on either side, using my wonderful Tim Holtz stapler, and there you have it.  What a simple and fun little gift!!  Here is a look at the other three designs.

    Edible Greetings

As promised on my last blog... I wanted to share another one of my fun projects for upcoming vendor events.  This one was fun and SO easy... AND it had tasty perks.  While making them, I "accidentally" tore two packs of Rolos, so my fellow croppers and I just had to eat them.
A Christmas Greeting with something for Eating...

What?  Did I say Rolos???  Oh yeah!  This is a package of delicious Rolos wrapped in our beautiful Festival of Prints DSP Paper Stack.  I absolutely LOVE this paper stack!!!   This picture does not do it justice, but you get the idea.   It is 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs, each sheet 4 1/2" x 6 1/2".  The saying is from our Tags til Christmas stamp set.  This is a GREAT stamp set that has a coordinating punch available for each sentiment!!!  See image by clicking here.

Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack

There were so many wonderful paper choices in it that I couldn't stop "rolling".  Here are a few variety's, and as you see, I brought another stamp into play from the same set.  Not the best pictures, but you get the idea!!!

Finally... let me tell you just how easy these were to make!
I cut the paper in half, leaving me two pieces of 3 1/4" x 4 1/2".  AND... 4 1/2" was perfect for the length of the Rolo pack.  I simply used a piece of Sticky Strip on the long end of paper, securing it to the Rolo pack, and another piece on the other end.. SAME SIDE.  Once you roll it, remove the backing and adhere the paper in place.  After stamping and punching the sentiment, I used a basic hole punch and a 7" piece of ribbon to put it around the wrapped Rolos.  Enjoy!!!

    Perfectly Preserved Lips

I have been so busy with work (my job that pays the bills) and getting ready for a vendor event with my fun job :-), that I have failed to keep up on my blog posts.   It isn't that I am not being creative and taking some therapy time for myself, I just haven't shared it.  Something I need to work on... scheduling and prioritizing.

Well, I return today as a guest blogger on Mary Fish's blog, http://www.stampinpretty.com/.  Talk about a talented stamper... Mary is my upline's upline in SU!  I guess that would make her my grandma!!!

Anyhow, as Mary's guest, I have decided to share one of the many projects that I will have at my vendor event, a fundraiser scrapbook crop in Emporia, KS, on November 2-3 for a great group of Girl Scouts.  I made 40 of these Perfectly Preserved Lip Balms this past weekend at the Pajamma Jamma Jam crop in Olathe, KS.  This project was inspired by Jill Hilliard, with Jill's Card Creations, from a project I saw on Pinterest.

I love working with what I call assembly line projects.  I started with my Labels Collection Framelits (#125598) using the next to the largest size and solid cardstock.  I then cut a piece of the Orchard Harvest DSP with the next size down of that same set.  Once I adhered the top and bottom layers I scored them at 2" and 2 3/4".   Note:  I recommend using Sticky Tape to adhere the DSP to the Card Stock.  Once you pull it together to tie it, you put just enough pressure on it to pull the papers apart if you use a standard adhesive.  It needs that added security of Sticky Strip.

To hold the Avon Lip Balm I took a piece of coordinating DSP, 1" X 3", and scored it a 5/8", 1 3/8", 1 7/8", and 2 1/2" to wrap around the lip gloss.  I used a Glue Dot to adhere the tube to the paper, and after wrapping I used Sticky Strip to adhere it to the card stock base, centered between the scorelines.

Once I got those steps done, I used some coordinating Very Vanilla Card Stock, stamped an image from the Friendship Preserves Stamp Set (127910- Wood Mount or 127913- Clear Mount) and cut it out with the smallest of the Window Frames Collection Framelits (#1209021).

Finally, using a 6" piece of coordinating ribbon (some 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon, some 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, and some retired Grosgrain Ribbon), and a hand-held slot punch (non Stampin-Up) I tied each Lip Gloss Gift closed.

In closing, I cannot go without mentioning the glorious color pallette I used, that lended itself nicely to the Fall Lip Balms.   These colors are some of my favorites... Lucky Limeade, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, and Raspberry Ripple, with a touch of Island Indigo thrown in with some of the ribbon.

Stay tuned, as I will be sharing some more of my vendor booth projects, including Wrapped Rolos, Snowman Kisses, Preserved Hand Sanitizer, and more!!

    Bootiful Occasions Finale

Welcome to day four of sharing my Bootiful cards from our Bootiful Occasions stamp set.  As I mentioned in my post yesterday, I can't see this stamp set without thinking of my beautiful friend in Dallas, TX.   She wears her boots like no other.  Here she is at an Eric Church concert.

                                     Photo

Well, anyhow, you probably came to see my card, so here it is.  I used Soft Suede for the card base and think it worked perfectly with the Red, White, and Blue, which is actually Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White, and Night of Navy.  Once I attached the stars (cut from a Sizzix die cut set), I embossed the entire card front with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  Our Rhinestone Basic Jewels have three sizes in the package, and they worked perfect in the center of the stars on the stamped image.  After I took original pictures I felt that something was still missing, so I added the Raspberry Ripple 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon and Ribbon Slide.  What a difference it made!

For a quick view of my cards made from this awesome stamp set, scroll thru my last three blog posts.   And if you like what you see, feel free to contact me to order it for your very own!

    Bootiful Occasions... Take Three

For the past two days I have been sharing a card I made with the Bootiful Occasions stamp set.   So far, we have seen Halloween and a Rainy Day.  Today I wanted to share one of my favorites... Warm Winter Wishes.

The pearls started because I felt that there was too much empty space under the words... but they quickly became a necessary addition to the boot laces, an addition that changed the look entirely.  I love using Baja Breeze and Whisper White for winter/ holiday cards.   The Snow Burst embossing folder worked great on this card.  It is discontinued, but some of we consultants would love to have it back in the book!!!

Tomorrow I will share my final Bootiful card... you country folk should really like it!  I can't see it without thinking of my dear friend Susie who lives in Dallas, TX.
